Although I have never had the good fortune of experiencing a Mac first hand I have done a great deal of research on the topic. There is no doubt that the Mac offers some great programs that are not readily available on the Pc. In other words what this means is if you wanted to use any of these programs on your Pc you would have to purchase it individually, provided that they have such a program available for the Pc.

One significant difference between the Mac and the Pc is whereas the Pc software and hardware are made by different companies; e.g. You might have a Dell PC but your motherboard, soundcard, video card etc., are made by different companies, which makes getting help a bit tricky, as you might have to visit various websites to get answers to your particular query. The Mac on the other hand has a better advantage in this regard as all their hardware and software are made by Apple themselves, which will definitely make it easier for one to get help on a particular issue. All you would need to do is visit the Mac website and all your queries can be addressed in one place.

In my opinion this to me is the biggest advantage of owning a Mac vs. a Pc. Not only will you be able to get help at the Apple’s one stop website, so to speak, but more importantly should you need to replace a certain part in your Mac (say for example your video card if you will) you will not have to search any further than their website as they obviously will have these parts on sale. This is very convenient, I must admit.

In defense of the PC it must be noted that all brand name PCs whether is Dell, HP or other, have a list of all components installed in their PCs, on their website, so it would be easy for someone to find out what type of video card is installed in their PC and who are the makers of the various parts. Obviously you would then have to visit that particular website to purchase your computer part.
All in all Mac vs Pc is really based on one’s personal preference. For instance the Mac and the Pc both use different browsers; the Mac has Safari integrated into its operating system as its default Internet browser while the Pc has Internet Explorer integrated into its operating system as its default Internet browser. See what I am talking about it really is just a matter of one’s personal taste. The Mac and the Pc are both wonderful computers in their own rights each quite capable of giving great satisfaction.
