I know what they say, please do not tell me they say ‘an apple a day keeps doctors away’ I know guava, which is available here almost round the year, is able to keep doctor away for the whole year. Such are the health benefits of this fruit that it is often termed as the apple of the tropics.
In addition, trust me this is not the fruit alone but even the leaves of guava are highly beneficial. In fact, it is rich in astringents that are alkaline and have anti-bacterial properties. So the next time you have dysentery or diarrhea, chew on some guava leaves or eat a raw guava and bounce back to health.
The vitamin c, cartenoid, fiber and potassium rich fruit helps tone-up the digestive system. This fruit is too good to get rid of gastroenteritis.
