This morning I was woken up by the news coming out from my radio alarm. The sound of “Anderson Cooper finally comes out as a gay!” lingering in my still dizzy head and suddenly I realized that it was not a joke because I just have celebrated Canada Day last night with my family. The very next thing I did was to grab my iphone and googleed Anderson Cooper. Of course, numerous threads filled my relatively small retina screen. Each and every one of them was linked with a shimmery picture of Anderson Cooper wearing a black tuxedo looking sharp, yet, a big title stating that “The fact is, I’m gay.” I was angry and upset by all these media things. What reasons on earth bring you guys to publicize Cooper’s personal life style? Where is humanity? Have you ever asked in your hear the question whether it is appropriate before you start knocking letters in to your computer?
I have watched Cooper’s show for a while. Personally, I think he is funny, smart and a little bitter guy. But, as a normal I believe human being, I have never ever come out this idea, like “is he married?”, “why he still is single until now?” Is it okay for me to ask these questions? I guess it does not really matter. Why? I am simply enjoying the every moment he brought me in his TV shows and his witty languages that could make me think or laugh for a while, regardless whether he is married or not. It is not because that I do not care about that. I am a guy with lots of curiosities as the rest of you. Sometimes, I would like search some weird stuff online. However, I know where is my line beyond which I should not cross under my social standard. For example, the personal lives of others. It is important that we need to know these social conventions. No one could deal with such a life in which every single thing will be magnified to public. It will be horrible in term of physicality and mentality. However, our media are totally against these social rules. What they find interesting is always something that provokes others’ privacies. I do not ever want to start listing examples. The list will go on and on, without an ending. Anderson Cooper is just another poor guy who was just victimized by these.

People with a raised profile can expect their private life to be less than completely private. It's always been thus. Turn the clock back a few centuries and the personal lives of kings and queens was as much a source of gossip as those of celebrities is nowadays. It's gone too far now and the media should back off a bit, but the famous still can't expect complete privacy.
Agreed. Media should be aware of their line.
I don't know who Anderson Cooper is but I'm sure he must be someone quite famous in your country and being in the public domain means he has no more privacy.
If he wants privacy then he should just become a private person like you and me whom nobody would care where we go buy our groceries or where we get our hair done.
But being a public personality, Anderson Cooper's fair game for the media whose only objective is to sell their tabloids.
We the public can still choose whether to read this type of news or not.
It is basic human right for every single person on this planet to protect their privacy. It is ridiculous that all public figures have no more privacy.
Plus, what do you mean his fair game for the media whose only objectives is sell the tabloids? It is absurd. The bottom line for the media is to respect what they reported. Not paparazzi.
