Article writing for money is about watching out for the most important statistics.
Since I cannot really control the earnings of each article written, I can only control my effort in writing the content.
There are a few statistics that I pay very close attention.
The first is the daily page views of the content.
You may have noticed a trend in the daily page views of your articles as well. The trend is that page views drop over the weekends, especially those long weekend with a public holiday on Friday or Monday.
Right now my average daily page views in Expertscolumn exceed 500. It is time for me to aim for the next target of 1000 page views per day.
It does not sound easy even to have a consistent 500 views per day.
Most of us know that we can get more page views when we promote our new articles.
The increase in page views is just for a day or two.
If you want to have a consistent increment, you need to write more and more articles. There is no short cut to it.
Nobody can tweet the same thing over and over for the next year. You cannot just write one article, and promote it throughout the year.
Everyone will get tired of it.
Writing just one article will not earn much. Writing ten articles will not earn much either.
This brings us to the next important statistics of the number of articles.
When you have ten articles, you aim for twenty articles.
When you have three hundred articles working for you, you are not contented too. You want more and more. By this time writing for cash becomes an obsession.
You need to write, because you know that some old articles are dead. They do not get views anymore, and they do not earn you a single cent.
You need new and fresh content in order to increase the daily page views.
That is why aiming for daily page views of 1000 is just my next goal. Once I have that, I will want to set a new target.

I'm aiming to be happy. More views would make me happy but I'm not going to obsess over it. I'll just keep on trying to become a better writer. Before the crash I was getting close to 300 daily views and hope to get back there.
There are days that 1000 views are easily achieved from my articles. and there were days that views are very low. A thousand or more views really is a morale booster for every member here in EC.
I am getting 3000 views daily on average, now i am aiming at 10,000 views daily. But my C.P.M rates is very low i,e $0.67 per 1000 views including double CPM bonus. Without Double CPM it would be $0.34 per 1000 views. So, i am very unlucky in matter of cpm.
I think as you are having around 1000 articles, you should get 1000 number of page impression everyday, my page impressions are around 100 everyday
