The advantages of writing for Experts Column

I write for many article sites such as Helium, Triond and Experts Column. I often see reviews about these sites, and many people list the pros and cons about writing for them, so here are a few thoughts of my own.

I feel that Experts Column has an advantage over some of the other writing sites because more people see your work. With Experts Column you work is put on the front page when it is published which means people can find it. Whether people get to the site through keywords or whether they just visit the site, if you’ve just published, your work will be on the front page which gives it more views.

While the other sites have good points and bad, my main issue with these sites is the lack of page views, and even if you do well, these won’t necessarily be recognised with a decent amount of payment. I’m not expecting to make a fortune writing for these sites – and financial recompense isn’t my main aim, page views are – but I expect to get at least something for my work. I’m hearing that on some sites, people are getting thousands of views but still a very low return.

Experts Column pays a fair amount and they are transparent about your earnings which gives the site an advantage above most. Also, even without promotion, you can expect to get a decent amount of views. Some people don’t have tonnes of followers who will read their work. Even with some promotion, page views do not increase on other sites, sometimes nor do earnings which leaves people wondering what the point is then disenchanted writers go elsewhere.

Treating writers fairly should be the first priority for any article writing site as it is the writers' providing them with content. I think Experts Column has got it right in that respect and that is why I will continue to write for them.
