Feeling even better eating fast food? Even losing weight? There’s more power in being satisfied than most people realize. Eating like this, is what most people need for weight loss.

Weight loss doesn’t need to be complicated. I thought it did. Those complications ended up turning my weight problem into obesity. If I only knew what I do today, I never would have ended up obese. I picked up warp ideas about weight loss along the way, and I kept getting caught up in a vicious out of control cycle. It included things, like anger towards myself and others, binging, bulimia, starving, and a further list of awful punishments. It was no way to live. It could have killed me. It got that bad. It’s a time I’ll never forget. It could become any of us. I look back on my life, and there were bad times. I don’t know why. Why do sad and bad things have to happen to us? But somehow we find the strength to overcome them. We have to. If we don’t, it’ll get worse. If I didn’t find the strength, perhaps I wouldn’t be here today.

We should all feel satisfied with our lives. How many people stop to ask themselves, am I satisfied with my life? With the amount of sleep I get? With how much I laugh? With how much I get away for a weekend or a weeks vacation? I don’t think enough people are concerned with satisfaction. Why shouldn’t you be happy? Instead, too many people only focus on their weight. But what about the rest of their lives? Don’t we deserve to be completely satisfied with ourselves and life? I’m a big believer, that when a lot in our lives is not going right, there’s a major hit we take. Your weight could be the result of a lot not going right for you. For others, financial ruin could be the result of a lot not going right. You could also be suffering from both, and other destructions in your life. Look at what alcohol and drugs do to people and families. It destroys them and tears families apart. Some people can’t hold jobs, and they lose their kids. That’s not the life any of us should be living. We should be living a responsible life, being a productive member of society, giving back to our communities, and giving ourselves the nurturing and everything else we need. We need to stop letting our weight stop us from living. Everything you don’t do and can’t do, but you should do, you’re not living. So your life needs to get in order. Everything reflects on everything else. Fix it all. Your weight, the bills, get a job if you don’t have one, take care of your responsibilities, make amends if you need to, but fix it. Work on being satisfied completely. You’ll see a big change in yourself, your happiness, your weight, friendships, etc.

I know I always go on about certain things, but it’s for good reason. I love trying different things and new challenges, but the message doesn’t change. No matter what I’m doing, there’s always a story or something to be told. I think I do it, because I want people to have a chance. I had to learn all my lessons the hard way. I wish I had someone to identify with, or make a difference when I needed it the most. I reflect on the bad things, and those are the things that make the most difference to me today. In hindsight, a lot of things make sense. If we only knew then what we know now, it could have saved us a lot of troubles. So that’s why I get into so many different things when I write about weight loss. I feel we’re all deserving of more. The world needs more. Too many people make things cut and dry. I don’t think they give enough. And, weight loss isn’t cut and dry. It takes time, patience, effort, change, understanding, support, nurturing, motivation and inspiration. When someone needs help, they should have a place to turn. Today, I’m reminded of the times I had no one. I’m a miracle. I say this because, I was so alone, that not living anymore crossed my mind. But, I didn’t give up. I didn’t want to. I had no idea what my future would have in store for me, but it turned out amazing. Doing this means something. It’s a big deal to me. I’m fortunate to have made it.

We should be satisfied with our foods too. It’s just like with life: “When something’s not right, we take a hit.” Think about food satisfaction in this way. How many times would you have eaten less, if you just allowed yourself to have what you really wanted. Think about that. We’re told so much “what not to eat,” that it’s driving people mad. Most people don’t know what to do or what to believe anymore. What should we eat? Why can’t it be simple? The fact is, it can. We need to learn how to balance what we want, while still being concerned with our health. It’s not hard to do, like most make us believe, and you will lose weight. I don’t know why weight loss gurus want to make us think we need to suffer to look good, be thin, and fit. They shouldn‘t do it and it‘s not right, but they’re always trying to sell us something. They need to make things seem like a science, or else it won’t sell. But, we suffer for it. We continue to pour billions of dollars into the fitness and nutrition industry each year. If you ask me, I’d rather use my money to go away someplace fun. I’d rather go hike or kayak. That’s where I pour my money into. I’d rather travel. But that’s just because I know their things don’t work. I tried them, but I got smart. Now, I use my money on something that’s for myself, something that’s going to continue to get me fit, healthy, and happy.
